HBOT can result in dramatic benefits for cancer patients, stroke patients, traumatic head and spinal cord injuries, before and after surgeries/operations, plastic surgery recovery, diabetic ulcers, burns and conditions in which poor circulation plays a role.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is an American Medical Association (AMA) recognized medical treatment that uses pressurized oxygen administered inside a specially designed chamber to deliver pure oxygen to oxygen-starved tissues. It's the most efficient method of transporting oxygen to cells throughout the body.
Also, HBOT aids in temporarily restoring normal blood levels of blood gases and tissue function to promote healing and fight infection. As you comfortably lay inside the chamber, you breathe in pure oxygen through a sealed mask while the pressure inside the chamber is slowly increased by 2-3 times that of the normal atmosphere. At this pressure, oxygen dissolves in all of your body fluids - the plasma, cerebrospinal fluid in the brain and spinal cord, and lymph. It's then transported to all tissues. Up to 15 times as much oxygen will be delivered to tissues than under normal conditions. Typically, one treatment session lasts 1 to 2 hours, during which you can watch a movie and relax. You may notice a slight pressure change in your ears similar to air travel. When the session ends, the pressure is slowly returned to normal. (Source: Cancer Center for Healing)
Overall, HBOT can work wonders for patients after radiation (and insurance typically covers this). It is also being studied for patients going through chemo for its benefits increasing the efficacy/ potency of the drugs as well as reducing side effects. I have done this weekly and can say that I've had minimal side effects if any.
I’m doing high dose vitamin C IVs (25g+). C becomes a pro-oxidant which helps kill cancer cells. You could benefit from a Myer’s cocktail for immune boosting properties with a little extra C in there (25g not necessary though). Glutathione add-on would be beneficial as well.
Nanovated oxygen baths are a relaxing way to get oxygen to your body. It is an evolutionary Japanese bath that penetrates the skin directly and delivers higher levels of absorbable oxygen. (Source: Cancer Center for Healing)
Benefits of using the nano bath includes:
• Increased oxygen/ circulation levels in the body
• Lowers inflammation and pain in the body
• Creates a whole body anti-cancer environment
• Improved skin rejuvenation due to its
nanoscale exfoliation
• Reduction of refractory dermatitis, atopic
dermatitis, and psoriasis vulgaris
• Increased metabolism and energy levels
• Promotes muscle relaxation
• Improved quality of sleep
Lymphatic Massage Therapy is a gentle, light-touch, advanced bodywork technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system, drain stagnant fluids, detoxify, regenerate tissues, and maintain a healthy immune system. It can assist with post-surgical recovery, edema reduction, pain control, infection prevention, hematoma reduction/resolution, constipation relief, relaxation, stress reduction, and improved sleep. Note that lymphatic massage requires additional training beyond basic massage therapy.
Dry brushing is a simple way to help stimulate the movement of lymph fluid. It is easy to do for ten minutes before showering. You will always brush towards the direction of your heart. I've found it can be quite relaxing too, strangely enough.
Electro-lymphatic massage is commonly done with an XP2 machine. It uses electric pulses to painlessly guide lymph fluid from away congested areas and reduce lymphedema. To find a specialist near you, visit their site.
Rebounding on a trampoline can be a great way to get lymph fluid moving in your body and reduce lymphedema. If you do not have space for this, bouncing on a yoga ball can be helpful too for lower body lymph nodes.
I’m still researching into this as it’s hard to find research or anyone knowledgeable about it, and it is a controversial method. However, there are plenty of fans in facebook and reddit boards. Think of an opera singer that shatters a glass with her voice. Rife operates on the same principle that your body reacts to different frequencies. So a rife machine (like the Spooky 2 home device) has 100s of different frequencies you can program and tune for from something as simple as a migraine all the way to specific cancers. The frequencies that pulse through your body are safe, painless, and non-invasive, killing off 'bad' cells.
Pulsed electro-magnetic field therapy is similar to rife but more accessible and researched. That being said, my integrated doctor said rife would be the better of the 2 therapies if you had a choice. PEMF can also be done in your home. It looks like a yoga mat but has coils inside that emit an even electromagnetic field. A frequency generator is then used to energize the coils to create a pulsed electromagnetic field while you lay on it.
It concentrates nutrients in the tumor area and promotes increased exchange by electrically opening and closing both cancerous and healthy cells. The uptake of nutrients boosts the function of the healthy cells and weakens cancer, while the elimination of wastes detoxifies the area and promotes proper cellular metabolism. Also, it works with your body's own recovery processes to help relieve chronic pain, stress, and inflammation. (Source: Cancer Center for Healing)
